Which course should I take first?
If you’re beginning the Alabama salesperson licensing path, compare the two 60-hour pre-license packages. The 30-hour post-license course is for students whose temporary salesperson license has already been issued. The broker course is for experienced salespersons who meet AREC’s broker requirements.
Are the courses online or scheduled classes?
The courses in this catalog are online and self-paced. You can plan study around your schedule while meeting the applicable course and state deadlines. Contact the school for any classroom availability; no dated classroom cohort is offered on this page.
How soon will I receive course access?
Allow up to 24 hours after enrollment for your personalized course-portal access information. If you need help locating it, contact the School Administrator at (205) 202-1434 or admin@alabamarealestatecourses.com.
What’s different about Exam Prep Edge?
The Exam Prep Edge package includes the same 60 hours of Alabama salesperson pre-license education plus Alabama Exam Prep Edge. The Course Only package does not include that additional exam-preparation product. Post-license education is purchased separately with either choice.
Does finishing a course give me a license?
No. Education is one part of the licensing process. You must satisfy AREC’s eligibility, examination, application and license-issuance requirements. The course final and state licensing examination are separate steps. Review the licensing guide before enrolling.
When is the post-license course due?
To remain active, complete the 30-hour post-license course and have the original license issued within AREC’s initial six-month period. The 12-month limit is the final temporary-license deadline, not a full year of active practice. Check the official deadlines for your license dates.
What equipment will I need?
The course pages list a laptop or desktop computer with internet access. You can browse courses and enroll on your phone, but review the device and browser requirements in your course-access instructions before studying or booking a proctored exam.
